Original script vs Final Ad: Halfords, Bob (2013)

Behind the curtain of my silly little career

Going through my Dropbox a while ago, I found some old work stuff. Included was this particular script from a campaign I worked on in 2013. I thought I’d share it with you here because:

a) I like hearing mundane things about other people’s job

b) The sexually menacing neighbour - like the old episodes of Friends where Monica wears the fat suit - has aged awkwardly, but nevertheless, is a document of its time

c) Still: the line “I’m tired of painting you from memory” remains a career highlight

d) My other content wasn’t ready in time

Anyway, here we are. If I don’t hear otherwise, I will assume no one ever wants to hear about my job again 😊
